Gangsters Coming to Town!!
A.P. Chicago--In an alternative move,
Burgess has struck a deal to move the Denver Dragons to Cicero, Illinois
and re-name the team the Chicago Gangsters. Federal financing has been
arranged to construct Capone Field within the year with kickbacks made to
the appropriate parties. "Cicero has a rich tradition of mafia
activity, beginning with Al Capone's hometown and currently having more
mob connections than a Sopranos cast party. We hope to keep the tradition
of organized crime in Chicago alive and well through our team name and
'community activities'." Burgess declined to speculate which
construction companies would receive contracts for the construction of the
new stadium, only to state that the contracts were guaranteed to go to
"Local" firms.
