Golden Knights
Announce Relocation and Name Change!!
(A.P.) March 16, 2002. The city of San Francisco has a new team to
cheer for. The city approved the relocation of the former Golden
Knights franchise to northern California. "With the popularity of football
at its all-time high, there is no reason the city cannot handle another
major sports franchise," said new Silverbacks owner Jason Shear. "I
promise to do whatever it takes to make the city by the bay the next
dynasty in sports," Shear also quoted.

Silverbacks full of "B.S."!!!!!!!!!!.
(A.P.)
Jan 27, 2004 Today, at the Silverbacks
training facility, owner Jason Shear announced that the integral parts of
the coaching staff have been signed. Calling the shots will be Barry
Switzer. Switzer hopes to bring his upbeat style to the Silverbacks.
Switzer, making his return to coaching, looks to add another championship
to his coaching legacy. As one of the only coaches to win on both
the college and pro levels, Switzer appears ready to submerge himself in
the coaching duties once again. Joining Switzer on the sidelines
will be new Offensive Coordinator, Barry Sanders. Sanders, making
his coaching debut, will also coach the RB's for the Silverbacks.
Look for the Silverbacks to rely heavily on the run in 2003 because of the
signing of one of the NFL's all-time leading rushers. Combine that
with Switzer's desire to run the ball, and you have an offensive
juggernaut in the making.

Silverbacks head coach, Barry
Switzer, talks to the media as Barry Sanders, Offensive
Coordinator/RB coach, looks on.
