2002 Today, the Orange County Surf announced the hiring of their new head
coach, Lou Holtz. Holtz is delighted to become the head coach of such a
reputable franchise. This hiring has been anticipated for many
months. Coach Holtz hopes to instill the winning tradition he
established at Notre Dame and South Carolina. His plate will be full
however as he still plans on coaching South Carolina on Saturdays, and the
Surf on Sundays and Monday nights!!
